where lost words come to rest in pieces…

The Tides

The tides are rushing out
Just leaving me behind

Running to the ebbing
I cannot catch the surf

I’m stuck in the moment
My soul entwined in you

My heart is thrumming loss
Tuned to fading belief

The sloughing memories
Are leaving me exposed

To roam this empty beach
Must be my destiny…

And for the audio-philes:

So good. Vulnerable and even in loss you make it soft and yearning.

Lovely poem, I got drifted away on the music and the lyrics…

Don’t we just all roam a beach somewhere in our lives…yet we are blind to see the rest of lost souls also straying – stuck in their own space of emptiness making ourselves believe it’s our destiny…damn us all…we all so different, yet so the same…. Anyway you express this so damn spot on :)
