Haunted
In smoke, my days
Are blurring by;
Evaporating
To the sky…
Amid the haze
My vision’s glazed;
I would not see
Sun’s beauty rise
Until I gazed
One final time
(and ever more)
Into your eyes…

Dreaming of the hope to be
Happy forever

And falling away…

In the solace of shade
I reflect on the day
But your ghost is the whispers
Of mist on the water…
And footprints, still fresh,
Are acute accusations;
Reminders of mem’ries -
A world left behind…
